The History of the Okaloosa County, FL Sheriff’s Office Motorcycle Unit

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Motor Unit was created by Sheriff Charlie Morris shortly after he took office in 1997.  The unit has grown to four Harley Davidson Police Road Kings.  The motors are used mostly for ceremonial functions and special traffic details.

April 2015 Emerald Coast Harley Davidson donated three Harley-Davidson Police Electra-Glides to Sheriff Ashley.  The donation ceremony was held at the Emerald Coast Motorcycle Challenge hosted by The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.
