The History of Calvert County Sheriff's Office Motorcycle Unit
The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office Motor Unit was created in 2002 by then Sheriff John A. Bartlett. Sheriff Bartlett purchased two 2002 Harley Davidson Police Edition Road Kings. The Motor Unit is comprised of deputies from all bureaus within the agency who perform motor duties on a part time basis. The motors are used for traffic enforcement, funeral details, traffic control at special events such as the annual 4th of July celebrations, and for community events such as National Night Out.
